Droom-jurk / Dream dress

My dream dress
Side view
It was my dream to sew my own wedding dress with help of my mother and mother-in-law. It turned out to be quite an experience, especially as we had only the weekends to work on it.

The pattern is a combination of a pattern drawn by someone else, based on pictures of a Linea Raffaelli dress, and a Vogue pattern (V8190). The bolero is after a pattern from My Image (M1162).

Unfortunately, the petrol silk used for the dress and the bolero turned out to be blue on the pictures.
Both my father and my father-in-law were in charge of the bouquet, which is made out of organza “flowers” and colored metal wire.
My mom is responsible for the design of the headpiece. A cheap headpiece-base is covered with silk and organza to match it to the dress. Some leftover organza and colored metal wire were also used.
